The Saga Charitable Trust is proud to support a football team in KwaZulu-Natal, called Saga Juventus FC.
The team was set up by one of Saga’s local holiday representatives, who was fearful that young boys in his area who had nothing to do after school, might turn to a life of crime. The team has the inspiring motto ‘Hate Crime and Love Sport’ and plays in a 16-team league.
The Trust also sponsors a football tournament in Scottburgh, which Saga Juventus take part in, although they have not yet managed to win! The tournament generates a lot of excitement in the area – even more so, as many of the participating teams have benefited from UK premiership football kit, which have been kindly donated through a Saga guest.
