An Antiques Seashow in the Mediterranean
Join antiques experts on Saga's Mediterranean Highlights cruise aboard Saga Ruby and discover destinations rich in cultural splendour
Departing October 17, 2008, the cruise visits a host of wonderful destinations. From the grandeur of Rome to the artistic eclecticism of Barcelona, the region will be brought alive through a number of talks and excursions.
As you sail from port to port, experts who have appeared on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow will be on hand to offer an enlightening insight into the world of antiques with a range of lectures, valuation sessions and light-hearted quizzes.
You are welcome to bring on board your small pieces or photographs of larger items for valuation, but no weapons please.
Joining you on board will be:
George Archdale - George has worked in the antiques business for over 30 years and was trained at Sotheby’s.
Ian Harris (pictured above) – A specialist in English antique silver, old Sheffield and Victoria plate.
Christopher Lewis – Former executive producer of the BAFTA award-winning Antiques Roadshow.
Christopher Wood – A specialist in Pre-Raphaelite and Victorian art, as well as Gothic furniture.
Dr Penny McCracken – An experienced art historian.
Frank Feest – Our destinations lecturer.
